Welcome to Belle Angel, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in Haiti. Our organization was founded in response to the catastrophic earthquake that struck Haiti in 2010, leaving millions of people homeless and in need of basic necessities such as food, water, and shelter.
About Us
Our History
Belle Angel was founded in 2009 by Berlange Jean, a Haitian native who was born and raised in Gonaives, the same city where the school is located. Berlange was deeply affected by the devastation caused by the earthquake that struck Haiti that year, and she was determined to make a difference in the lives of the children in her community. With the help of a group of like-minded individuals, Berlange set out to provide the children of Haiti with the resources they needed to thrive. Belle Angel's first project was a school that provided education and support to over 200 children in Gonaives. The school currently employs 12 full-time teachers and serves students from pre-K to 9th grade.
Since then, Belle Angel has expanded its reach and impact, and we have become a trusted partner in the Haitian community. We work tirelessly to provide safe and secure housing for children who are homeless or living in unsafe conditions. We also provide education and training programs to help children develop the skills they need to succeed in life.
Over the years, we have helped thousands of children in Haiti to receive an education, access to healthcare, and other basic necessities that are essential to their well-being. We have built strong relationships with local organizations and government agencies, and we work closely with them to ensure that our programs are tailored to meet the needs of the children we serve.
Despite the challenges we have faced along the way, we remain committed to our mission of improving the lives of children in Haiti. We believe that every child deserves a chance to succeed, and we will continue to work tirelessly to make that vision a reality.

Although the earthquake occurred over 13 years ago, we recognize that the need for assistance in Haiti continues. We are committed to supporting the children of Haiti for as long as they need us.
